2016 BEST Kickoff

Overview.

The 2016 BEST Season starts Saturday 9/24/2016. At the Kick off we will see the entire game field, be given the game rules and have an opportunity for a Q&A with the Dallas Best Core team. we recommend all students who can attend do attend. All we know now is that the game is called Bet the Farm.

After the Kickoff we will meet back at Pearce for lunch, the students will then start to look at the game and think of ideas and parent volunteers will start to construct the field.

As this is most students second experience with experience with BEST and we have already done several training and organizing events we will not be attending the after kickoff Quick build session.

Students please wear a past robotics shirt or a Pearce High School shirt.

7:15a Meet on Back Dock at Pearce High School

7:45a Carpool to Hockaday School

8:00a Doors Open / Check In Begins / Light Breakfast / Early Kit Distribution (as appropriate)

8:30a Pearce Carpool arrives at the Hockaday School

9:00a Kickoff Game Briefing Begins - "All Hands on Deck" to start and end on time, please!

10:00a Break Out Sessions: Notebooks, Software, Final Kit Distribution, a variety of training sessions for students, coaches, and mentors

12:00n Kickoff Ends (if not earlier), Pearce Students Carpool back to Pearce High School

12:30p Lunch at Pearce Robotics Room

1:30p Students Rules Reading, Initial Game thoughts,

1:30p Parent Volunteers start on Constructing Field.

5:00p Clean up and Kick off day over
