What can I do to help

As a Pearce Robotics Parent, there are several small things you can do to help. #1 is to make sure your student is doing well in school and that they are staying on top of their grades. Beyond that, we are always needing volunteers to bring dinners, as well as drivers for local events and chaperones for travel events.

Bring Dinners

For Fall of 2021, we will need dinners every weekday meeting. Those days are Monday and Thursday.

Sign up to bring dinner!

Additional information for those bringing dinner

Please contact Heather Kuykendall at 214-793-0396 if you have any questions.

Chaperone an Event

We always need parents to come and help us with events. Take a look at our calendar and find an event that you can work.

NOTE: You will need to fill out the additional forms for RISD volunteering.

Speak to the RISD Board

The RISD Board of Trustees has open meetings once a month (RISD BOT Schedule) and allows for parents and residents to voice their concerns at the start of each meeting. It is immeasurably helpful when our parents and resident mentors speak to the board about the wonderful things we are doing on the Pearce Robotics Team.

We are planning a Group Speaking for Feb. 2022. Stay tuned for this!

Help with a task from the Task board

The Mentors and Teachers have identified many tasks that we perform during the year. If you are feeling like going above and beyond, please review them at the link below and volunteer to lead a task. We would be forever grateful.

Child Protection

Pearce Robotics puts "Safety FIRST" in all things, as part of our commitment to safety child protection is #1.

All Pearce Robotics Teachers have had RISD Child Protection Training and are Mandatory Reporters per Texas Law.

All Mentors have a Background check done on them by the district in addition to taking a "Schoololgy" training from FIRST for Youth Protection.

All Chaperone and Parent Volunteers have background checks done on them by the district as well.
